Yasmani Grandal sitting Friday for White Sox
Chicago White Sox catcher Yasmani Grandal is not in the starting lineup for Friday's series opener against left-hander Tarik Skubal and the Detroit Tigers.
Grandal hit his 10th home run of the season on Thursday in a win over the Toronto Blue Jays. He has hit safely in five of his last seven games but the veteran backstop is batting just .160 overall. Zack Collins will catch Lucas Giolito on Friday and bat eighth.
