Colin Moran (back) out of Pirates' lineup versus Nationals
Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Colin Moran (back) is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against left-hander Jon Lester and the Washington Nationals.
Moran exited Sunday's game in the second inning due to back tightness. The Pirates haven't indicated whether or not they expect to place Moran on the injured list. Erik Gonzalez will start on first base Monday and hit seventh.
numberFire’s models project Gonzalez for 7.7 FanDuel points and he has a $2,100 salary on Monday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates have an implied total of 4.4 runs. Lester has the second-lowest strikeout rate this season (16.2 percent) out of Monday's listed starters.
