Diamondbacks' Ketel Marte taking breather Thursday afternoon
Arizona Diamondbacks center fielder Ketel Marte is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Kevin Gausman and the San Francisco Giants.
What It Means:
Marte recorded multiple hits for the third time in four games on Wednesday but he will get a breather for Thursday's matinee. Pavin Smith will move to center field and hit second. Christian Walker will return to the lineup on first base and bat cleanup. Eduardo Escobar will hit third.
