George Springer (quad) activated, starting for Toronto on Tuesday
Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer will play Tuesday in the team's game against the MIami Marlins.
Springer has played just four games this season. He started the season on the injure list, returned on April 28th, and he was back on by May 3rd. The marquee free-agent signee hopes to be back for longer this time around. He'll get the nod in center field while batting fifth in the order against Marlins starter Sandy Alcantara. Rowdy Tellez and Jonathan Davis were both optioned to make room.
In 18 plate appearances this season, Springer has a .200 batting average with an .894 OPS, 2 home runs, 3 runs and 3 RBI.
