Jacob Stallings sitting for Pirates Wednesday afternoon
Pittsburgh Pirates catcher Jacob Stallings is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's game against right-hander Dylan Cease and the Chicago White Sox.
Stallings will grab a seat following consecutive starts. He went 1-for-8 with an RBI and struck out three times in those two contests. Michael Perez will catch Chase De Jong in Wednesday's matinee and hit eighth.
numberFire’s models project Perez for 7.4 FanDuel points and he has a $2,200 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Pirates have an implied total of 3.8 runs. Cease is registering a 29.3 strikeout percentage with a less imposing 10.2 walk percentage this season.
