Rangers' Willie Calhoun fractures forearm
Texas Rangers infielder Willie Calhoun was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday.
What It Means:
Calhoun fractured the ulna bone in his left forearm, and as a result, he's expected to be on the shelf for quite a bit. Jason Martin was recalled from Triple-A to take his place.
In 226 plate appearances this season, Calhoun has a .254 batting average with a .708 OPS, 5 home runs, 23 runs and 19 RBI.
