Brandon Nimmo (hand) activated, starting for Mets Friday
New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo has been activated off the 10-day injured list Friday. He is in the lineup in the team's game against the New York Yankees.
Nimmo has been out since May 1 due to a hand injury, but he's been activated just in time for the Subway Series. He'll get the nod in center field while batting leadoff against Yankees starter Jordan Motgomery.
In 79 plate appearances this season, Nimmo has a .318 batting average with an .870 OPS, 1 home run, 7 runs and 8 RBI.
