Tyler O'Neill (allergic reaction) scratched from Cardinals' Tuesday lineup; Edmundo Sosa back in
St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Tyler O'Neill will no longer start Tuesday in the team's game against the San Francisco Giants.
O'Neill reportedly had an allergic reaction to something he ate, and as a result, he's been removed from the starting lineup. Nothing suggests this will be anything other than a brief absence. After some defensive shuffling, Edmundo Sosa will re-enter the lineup, getting the nod at second base while batting eighth against Giants starter Johnny Cueto.
In 241 plate appearances this season, O'Neill has a .277 batting average with an .891 OPS, 15 home runs, 37 runs and 36 RBI.
