Danny Santana (quad) out for Red Sox Wednesday afternoon
Boston Red Sox first baseman/outfielder Danny Santana (quad) is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Andrew Heaney and the Los Angeles Angels.
Santana injured his quad on Tuesday and had to leave early. Red Sox manager Alex Cora said afterward that Santana may require a stint on the injured list. Bobby Dalbec is replacing Santana on first base and hitting ninth in Wednesday's matchup.
numberFire’s models project Dalbec for 8.9 FanDuel points and he has a $2,900 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Red Sox have an implied total of 4.7 runs. Among Wednesday's listed starters, Heaney is registering the third-best strikeout rate this season (29.0 percent).
