James McCann moving to Mets' bench Wednesday
New York Mets catcher James McCann is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Jeff Hoffman and the Cincinnati Reds.
McCann is taking a seat for the matinee after starting the past two contests. Tomas Nido is set to catch for Marcus Stroman and hit seventh.
numberFire’s models project Nido for 8.7 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets have the second-highest implied total in the majors on Wednesday (5.5 runs) and Hoffman has the worst walk rate this season among the slate's listed starters (14.4 percent).
