Tucker Barnhart on Reds' bench Wednesday afternoon
Cincinnati Reds catcher Tucker Barnhart is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Marcus Stroman and the New York Mets.
The Reds have been alternating starts between Barnhart and Tyler Stephenson for every game since the All-Star break. Stephenson will catch for Jeff Hoffman on Wednesday afternoon and hit third.
numberFire’s models project Stephenson for 10.0 FanDuel points and he has a $2,100 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Reds have an implied total of 5.0 runs. Stroman's xwOBA (.330) this season, compared to his true wOBA (.227), suggests the righty may be due for some regression over the second half of the season.
