Rockies' Austin Gomber (forearm) activated for Wednesday start
The Colorado Rockies activated pitcher Austin Gomber (forearm) from the 10-day injured list.
Gomber will start on Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners after he missed over a month due to right forearm tightness. The 27-year-old southpaw recorded a 3.68 ERA and 1.07 WHIP with a 24.0 strikeout percentage and 7.7 walk percentage before landing on the shelf.
numberFire’s models project Gomber for 20.8 FanDuel points versus the Mariners and he has an $8,000 salary on Wednesday. Seattle has the third-highest strikeout rate (26.9 percent) and fifth-worst OPS (.677) in the majors against left-handed pitchers this season.
