Aledmys Diaz (hand) activated Monday for Astros

The Houston Astros activated infielder Aledmys Diaz (hand) from the 10-day injured list.

What It Means:

Diaz last played on June 5 due to a fractured left hand. He is on the active roster but remains out of the Astros' lineup for Monday's game against the Seattle Mariners. Houston optioned Robel Garcia to Triple-A Sugar Land in a corresponding roster move.

Diaz is averaging 9.6 FanDuel points per start this season while slashing .278/.341/.435 across 126 plate appearances. In the 18 games before Diaz got hurt (67 plate appearances), he registered a .306 batting average, .842 OPS, 7 extra-base hits, and 11 RBI, while striking out at just a 10.4 percent rate.
