Brett Phillips sitting Tuesday for Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Brett Phillips is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's series opener against left-hander Jordan Montgomery and the New York Yankees.
Kevin Kiermaier is starting in center field over Phillips on Tuesday and batting ninth. The recent acquisition of Nelson Cruz and activation of Manuel Margot (hamstring) from the injured list, could lead to less playing time for Phillips over the second half of the season.
numberFire’s models project Kiermaier for 8.0 FanDuel points and he has a $2,100 salary on Tuesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays have an implied total of 4.1 runs.
