Buster Posey (head) on Giants' sidelines Thursday
San Francisco Giants catcher Buster Posey (head) is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale versus left-hander David Price and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Posey experienced dizziness after he was struck in the helmet by a foul ball in the third inning on Wednesday night. He wasn't diagnosed with a concussion, but the 34-year-old had two documented concussions in 2017, so the Giants are understandably erring on the side of caution. Curt Casali is starting at catcher for the Giants on Thursday and Wilmer Flores is covering the second spot in the lineup.
numberFire’s models project Casali for 7.0 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Thursday. Flores ($2,800) is projected for 12.2 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Giants have an implied total of 4.1 runs. Price is registering a 21.5 strikeout percentage with a 6.1 walk percentage this season.
