Yankees reportedly finalizing trade for Anthony Rizzo
According to Jeff Passan, the New York Yankees are finalizing a deal to acquire first baseman Anthony Rizzo in a trade with the Chicago Cubs.
Rizzo will headline the second major trade the Yankees have made to boost their offense. Per multiple reports, the lefty slugger will head to New York in exchange for prospects Kevin Alcantara and Alexander Vizcaino. Expect Rizzo to see immediate playing time as New York's starting first baseman.
According to Baseball Savant on 267 batted balls this season, Rizzo has produced a 9.4% barrel rate and a .263 expected average.
