Blue Jays acquiring Jose Berrios from Twins
The Toronto Blue Jays are acquiring right-handed pitcher Jose Berrios from the Minnesota Twins.
The Twins are reportedly landing two prospects in the trade, shortstop/center fielder Austin Martin and pitcher Simeon Woods-Richardson. Berrios turned 27 in May and is under team control through the end of next season. The Blue Jays' lineup gives Berrios a better chance to earn a few more wins than he would have in Minnesota.
Berrios is averaging 33.8 FanDuel points per game this season while recording a 3.48 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with a 25.7 strikeout percentage and a 6.5 walk percentage.
