Cubs agree to send Kris Bryant to Giants
The Chicago Cubs have agreed on a deal to trade third baseman/left fielder Kris Bryant to the San Francisco Giants.
The Cubs traded away Bryant and Javier Baez on Friday afternoon, after shipping Anthony Rizzo to the New York Yankees on Thursday. Bryant will likely be the Giants' primary third baseman until Evan Longoria (shoulder) returns from injury. The 29-year-old can also contribute across the outfield. It's unclear what sort of compensation the Cubs are receiving in return.
Bryant is averaging 11.0 FanDuel points per game this season while slashing .267/.358/.503 with 18 homers, 19 doubles, 51 RBI, and 58 runs scored over 374 plate appearances.
