Jesus Luzardo recalled, making Marlins debut Monday
The Miami Marlins recalled left-handed pitcher Jesus Luzardo from Triple-A Jacksonville.
Luzardo is making his Marlins debut on Monday in a start against the New York Mets. The 23-year-old lefty was acquired from the Oakland Athletics in exchange for Starling Marte last week. He recorded a 6.87 ERA over 38 innings (six starts) for Oakland, prior to being sent down to the minors in June.
numberFire’s models project Luzardo for 28.2 FanDuel points versus the Mets and he has an $8,700 salary on Monday. The southpaw owns a 23.1 strikeout percentage with a 9.2 walk percentage this season.
