Jake Bauers on Mariners' bench Wednesday afternoon
Seattle Mariners first baseman/right fielder Jake Bauers is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Josh Fleming and the Tampa Bay Rays.
Bauers went 0-for-3 with a walk and a whiff on Tuesday. Ty France is moving to first base in place of Bauers for Wednesday's matinee and hitting third. Kyle Seager is batting cleanup as the Mariners' designated hitter while Luis Torrens makes a start on the hot corner. Torrens is batting sixth.
numberFire’s models project Torrens for 9.9 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mariners have an implied total of 3.6 runs. Fleming is registering a 15.0 strikeout percentage this season, which ranks in the bottom fifth percentile of the league.
