James McCann joining Mets' bench Wednesday
New York Mets catcher James McCann is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against right-hander Zach Thompson and the Miami Marlins.
McCann went 1-for-4 with an RBI double in Tuesday's loss to the Marlins. He is taking a seat Wednesday while Tomas Nido catches for Carlos Carrasco and hits eighth.
numberFire’s models project Nido for 7.5 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mets have an implied total of 4.1 runs. Thompson is registering a 25.9 strikeout percentage with an 8.9 walk percentage this season.
