Pavin Smith (COVID) activated, starting Thursday for Arizona
The Arizona Diamondbacks reinstated Pavin Smith from the COVID-19 injured list.
What It Means:
Smith apparently never tested positive for the virus and missed a little under a week. He is replacing an idle Kole Calhoun in right field on Thursday and hitting fifth versus left-hander Alex Wood and the San Francisco Giants. Nick Ahmed is moving up to the leadoff spot in place of Calhoun.
numberFire’s models project Smith for 9.4 FanDuel points and he has a $2,500 salary on Thursday. Ahmed ($2,400) is projected for 8.4 FanDuel points.
