Cincinnati Reds outfielder Shogo Akiyama is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against right-hander Wil Crowe and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Akiyama made the start on Wednesday against a left-hander and went 1-for-2 with 2 walks drawn and 2 runs scored. Tyler Naquin is returning to center field on Thursday in place of Akiyama and hitting seventh.
