Randy Arozarena resting Monday for Rays
Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Randy Arozarena is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Nick Pivetta and the Boston Red Sox.
Arozarena went 2-for-5 with an RBI single, a stolen base, and a pair of runs scored on Sunday. The Rays appear to be giving him a routine breather in Monday's opener. Austin Meadows is shifting out to left field while Nelson Cruz returns to the lineup to bat second as the Rays' designated hitter.
numberFire’s models project Cruz for 13.9 FanDuel points and he has a $3,700 salary on Monday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays have an implied total of 4.5 runs. Pivetta is registering a 26.1 strikeout percentage and a 10.3 walk percentage this season, with a 3.94 xERA and a .304 xwOBA.
