Luis Arraez absent from Twins' lineup Wednesday
Minnesota Twins infielder Luis Arraez is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against rookie left-hander Justin Steele and the Chicago Cubs.
The lefty-hitting Arraez is taking a seat against the Cubs' southpaw. Byron Buxton is covering leadoff duties and Jorge Polanco is shifting to second base. Miguel Sano is serving as Minnesota's designated hitter while Willians Astudillo enters the lineup to start on first base and bat eighth.
numberFire’s models project Buxton for 15.7 FanDuel points and he has a $3,700 salary on Wednesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins have an implied total of 5.1 runs. Through his first 26 innings pitched in the majors, Steele is registering a 28.1 strikeout percentage and an 11.4 walk percentage this season, with a 3.78 xERA and a .298 xwOBA.
