Corey Dickerson sitting for Toronto Thursday night

Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Corey Dickerson is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series finale against left-hander Nestor Cortes Jr. and the New York Yankees.

What It Means:

Dickerson is taking a seat after starting the last three games and four of the last five. Randal Grichuk is replacing Dickerson in center field and hitting seventh. Bo Bichette is moving into the leadoff spot in place of Dickerson. George Springer remains sidelined with a knee injury.

numberFire’s models project Grichuk for 8.2 FanDuel points and he has a $2,600 salary on Thursday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Blue Jays have an implied total of 4.2 runs. Cortes is registering a 26.1 strikeout percentage and a 7.7 walk percentage this season, with a 2.90 xERA and a .262 xwOBA, the latter two of which both rank in the top 9% of the league.
