Steven Duggar sitting for San Francisco Friday afternoon
San Francisco Giants outfielder Steven Duggar is not in the starting lineup for Friday afternoon's series opener against right-hander Kyle Hendricks and the Chicago Cubs.
Duggar is taking a seat after starting the last three games. Mike Yastrzemski (ankle) is shifting to center field and hitting eighth Friday afternoon. LaMonte Wade Jr is moving to right field and batting cleanup while Kris Bryant joins the outfield in left. Evan Longoria is returning to the lineup to play third base and bat seventh.
numberFire’s models project Longoria for 12.6 FanDuel points and he has a $3,200 salary on Friday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Giants have an implied total of 5.1 runs. Hendricks is registering a 16.9 strikeout percentage (bottom 9% of the league) and a 5.5 walk percentage this season, with a 4.96 xERA and a .337 xwOBA.
