Rays' Jordan Luplow sitting Monday
The Tampa Bay Rays did not list Jordan Luplow as a starter in their lineup for Sunday's game against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Luplow will take a seat Monday while the Rays give Ji-Man Choi the start at first base against Blue Jays righty Alek Manoah. Choi will also bat cleanup.
Luplow has enjoyed the second-best season of his career with the Rays in 2021, making 178 plate appearances so far with 10 home runs, 22 runs, 26 RBI, 1 stolen base, a .201 batting average, and a .781 OPS.
