Niko Goodrum sitting Wednesday for Detroit
Detroit Tigers infielder Niko Goodrum is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's matinee against right-hander Brandon Woodruff and the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Tigers appear to be giving Goodrum a routine breather after he started the last four games. Harold Castro is replacing Goodrum at shortstop and hitting sixth.
numberFire’s models project Castro for 7.4 FanDuel points and he has a $2,200 salary on Wednesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Tigers have an implied total of 3.5 runs, which is currently the second-lowest in the majors on Wednesday. Woodruff is registering a 29.6 strikeout percentage and an 6.4 walk percentage this season, with a 3.29 xERA and a .278 xwOBA.
