Delino DeShields on Reds' bench Wednesday
Cincinnati Reds outfielder Delino DeShields is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against right-hander Mitch Keller and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
DeShields is sitting after starting the last two games, both of which were against lefty starters. Shogo Akiyama is replacing DeShields in center field and hitting eighth.
numberFire’s models project Akiyama for 7.7 FanDuel points and he has a $2,000 salary on Wednesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Reds have an implied total of 4.8 runs. Keller is registering a 21.1 strikeout percentage and a 10.0 walk percentage this season, with a 48.7% hard-hit rate that ranks in the bottom two percent of the league.
