Carlos Correa on Astros' sidelines Wednesday
Houston Astros infielder Carlos Correa is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against right-hander Kohei Arihara and the Texas Rangers.
The Astros appear to be giving Correa a routine breather. Aledmys Diaz is replacing Correa at shortstop and hitting second. Yuli Gurriel is in the cleanup spot for Houston.
numberFire’s models project Diaz for 13.4 FanDuel points and he has a $2,100 salary on Wednesday’s slate, which makes him our second-best point-per-dollar value among active hitters. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Astros have an implied total of 5.2 runs. Arihara is registering a 14.6 strikeout percentage and an 8.3 walk percentage this season, with a 7.63 xERA and a .403 xwOBA.
