Pirates place Jacob Stallings on concussion list
The Pittsburgh Pirates placed catcher Jacob Stallings on the 7-day concussion list.
What It Means:
Stallings caught all 10 innings on Sunday and went 0-for-4 with a strikeout, but now he's going to miss at least a week. The Pirates selected the contract of catcher Taylor Davis from Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding roster move. Michael Perez is starting at catcher in Monday's series opener against right-hander Vladimir Gutierrez and the Cincinnati Reds.
