Roberto Perez riding pine for Indians against Detroit
Cleveland Indians catcher Roberto Perez is not in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against rookie left-hander Daniel Lynch and the Kansas City Royals.
The Indians continue to alternate starts behind the plate between Perez and Austin Hedges. The latter is catching Cal Quantrill and hitting eighth Tuesday.
numberFire’s models project Hedges for 6.1 FanDuel points and he has a $2,300 salary on Tuesday’s slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Indians have an implied total of 5.2 runs. Through Lynch's first 59 innings in the majors, he is registering a 6.14 xERA and a .369 xwOBA that both rank in the bottom 4% of the league this season.
