Sean Murphy sitting for Athletics against Twins
Oakland Athletics catcher Sean Murphy is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Sonny Gray and the Minnesota Twins.
Murphy is taking a seat after starting six straight games and only recording one hit in that span. Christian Bethancourt is replacing Murphy at catcher and hitting fifth.
numberFire’s models project Bethancourt for 8.8 FanDuel points on Wednesday, and he has a $2,900 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Athletics have the sixth-lowest implied total (3.12) on the All Day slate.
