Joey Votto joining Reds' bench Tuesday
Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is not in the starting lineup on Tuesday against right-hander Max Scherzer and the New York Mets.
The Reds appear to be giving Votto a routine breather. Mike Moustakas is covering first base and batting sixth. Donovan Solano is entering the lineup to be the designated hitter and No. 5 batter.
numberFire’s models project Moose for 8.2 FanDuel points on Tuesday, and he has a $2,300 salary. Solano is projected for 8.4 FanDuel points and has a $2,100 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Reds’ implied total (3.75) is 24th in the majors on Tuesday.
