Joey Votto (back) remains out for Reds Thursday in Game 1
Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto (back) is not in the starting lineup for Game 1 on Thursday afternoon against Roansy Contreras and the Pittsburgh Pirates.
Votto missed the past two games with back tightness and it's not clear if he will be available for the second game. Mike Moustakas is starting on first base in the matinee and hitting sixth.
numberFire’s models project Moose for 9.3 FanDuel points on Thursday, and he has a $2,300 salary. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Reds’ implied total (4.50) is tied for ninth in the majors on Thursday out of 24 teams.
