Byron Buxton on Twins' bench versus Tigers
Minnesota Twins outfielder Byron Buxton is not in the lineup for Monday's series opener against left-hander Tarik Skubal and the Detroit Tigers.
The Twins appear to be giving Buxton a breather after five consecutive starts. Nick Gordon will replace Buxton in center field and bat seventh. Jorge Polanco will be the leadoff man while Luis Arraez bats third and Jose Miranda handles cleanup duty.
Polanco has a $3,300 salary on Monday and numberFire’s models project him for 12.1 FanDuel points. Miranda has a $2,700 salary and is projected for 11.5 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Twins’ implied total (4.22) is No. 8 out of 20 active teams Monday.
