Peter Bourjos hitless in two attempts for Phillies
Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Peter Bourjos went 0-for-2 before being lifted for a pinch-hitter Thursday against the St. Louis Cardinals.
Bourjos is hitting .165 with 24 punch outs and just two walks in 79 at-bats. No amount of defense is making up for that, particularly since the Phillies aren't even using him in center. It's not a huge upgrade, but he could be relegated to backup duties behind David Lough going forward.
Entering today, Bourjos had posted a .191 wOBA through 81 plate appearances.
