Rockies' Wynton Bernard on bench Thursday
Colorado Rockies outfielder Wynton Bernard is not in the starting lineup for Thursday's series opener against right-hander Jacob deGrom and the New York Mets.
Bernard started the past five games and went 7-for-21 with a double, two RBI, a steal, and five runs scored. Garrett Hampson will replace Bernard in center field and bat ninth.
Hampson has a $2,000 salary on Thursday and numberFire's models project him to score 6.8 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rockies have the lowest implied total (2.40) in the majors on Thursday.
