Carlos Santana sitting for Seattle Thursday afternoon
Seattle Mariners first baseman Carlos Santana is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez and the Detroit Tigers.
Santana will sit after nine straight starts, including eight at designated hitter. Mitch Haniger will take over as the DH on Thursday afternoon while Taylor Trammell starts in right field and bats ninth. Ty France will start on first base again for Seattle.
Haniger has a $3,500 salary on Thursday and numberFire’s models project him for 10.6 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Mariners’ implied total is 4.05 and the over/under for the game (7.5) is tied for the lowest total out of the four games on the Early Only slate.
