Hunter Dozier in Royals' dugout Thursday afternoon
Kansas City Royals infielder/outfielder/designated hitter Hunter Dozier is not in the starting lineup for Thursday afternoon's series finale against right-hander Johnny Cueto and the Chicago White Sox.
Dozier will grab a spot in the dugout after starting the past four games. Brent Rooker will replace Dozier at designated hitter and bat seventh.
Rooker has a $2,000 salary on Thursday and numberFire’s models project him for the second-lowest output among hitters (5.5 FanDuel points) on the Early Only slate. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Royals have the No. 6 implied total (3.80) out of the eight teams on the Early Only slate.
