C.J. Abrams sitting Wednesday for Nationals
Washington Nationals infielder C.J. Abrams is not in the starting lineup on Wednesday against left-hander Jordan Montgomery and the St. Louis Cardinals.
The lefty-hitting Abrams will sit against the Cardinals' southpaw while Ildemaro Vargas takes over at shortstop. Cesar Hernandez will replace Abrams in the lineup to play third base and bat sixth.
Vargas has a $2,200 salary on Wednesday and numberFire’s models project him for 7.4 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Nationals’ implied total (2.86) is second-lowest in the majors today.
