Christopher Morel not in Cubs' Tuesday lineup

The Chicago Cubs did not include Christopher Morel in their lineup for Tuesday's game against the New York Mets.

What It Means:

Morel will take a seat Tuesday while Zach McKinstry takes over at shortstop and David Bote rejoins the lineup at second base. Bote will bat ninth.

Morel has had an up-and-down rookie season, but a solid one overall. He has 13 home runs, 49 runs, 38 RBI and 9 stolen bases in 369 plate appearances, and is batting .244 with a .744 OPS on the season.
