Miguel Vargas sent to Dodgers' bench on Friday night
Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Vargas is not starting in Friday's contest against the San Francisco Giants.
What It Means:
Vargas will rest on the road after Freddie Freeman was chosen as Friday's starting first baseman.
According to Baseball Savant on 18 batted balls this season, Vargas has produced a 5.6% barrel rate and a .220 expected weighted on-base average.
