Taylor Walls on Rays' bench Monday
Tampa Bay Rays infielder Taylor Walls is not in the starting lineup for Monday's series opener against right-hander Luis Garcia and the Houston Astros.
Walls was in the lineup for all three games of the Rays' weekend series against the Texas Rangers, but he's riding pine for Monday's opener. Wander Franco will replace Walls at shortstop and hit third while Isaac Paredes will make a start on second base and bat seventh.
Franco has a $3,000 salary on Monday and numberFire’s models project him for 9.7 FanDuel points. Per our MLB Heat Map, the Rays’ implied total (3.58) is tied for No. 9 in the majors today.
