Dillon Gee tagged for six runs across four frames in loss for Royals
Kansas City Royals pitcher Dillon Gee took a loss Wednesday after yielding six runs -- five earned -- in four innings versus the Minnesota Twins.
Not a good sign when Minnesota's punchless offense can post crooked numbers against you. Gee gave up two runs in the first inning, one more in the second, and then three more between the fourth and fifth. He watched his ERA rise from 2.90 to 3.86 in the matinee loss at Target Field. We'd expect the regression to continue.
Gee has now pitched 35 innings this season and has a 1-2 record in 10 total appearances. Entering today's contest, our models projected him to finish the year with a 4.48 ERA and 15.40 strikeout percentage.
