Royals' Drew Waters (oblique) out for 6 weeks
Kansas City Royals outfielder Drew Waters (oblique) is expected to miss 6 weeks.
Waters has been diagnosed with a left oblique strain and will miss all of spring training. Waters had been competing for a starting spot in center field. With Waters expected to be sidelined until at least Opening Day, Kyle Isbel will have "every chance" to lock down the starting spot in center.
In 109 plate appearances for the Royals last season, Waters hit 0.240 with 18 RBI, 5 home runs, and 14 runs.
