Trea Turner leading off in Phillies debut on Opening Day
Philadelphia Phillies infielder Trea Turner is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Texas Rangers on Opening Day.
Turner will start at shortstop and bat first versus right-hander Jacob deGrom and the Rangers on Opening Day. Kyle Schwarber will fill the designated hitter role and bat second, with J.T. Realmuto behind the plate and batting third. Darick Hall starts at first, Bryson Stott at second, and Alec Bohm at third. Nick Castellanos, Jake Cave, and Brandon Marsh start in the outfield.
