Yunel Escobar

Yunel Escobar (wrist) absent from Nats lineup

After exiting yesterday's game with a wrist injury on a check swing, Yunel Escobar will remain on the bench as he awaits an MRI. Danny Espinosa will shuffle over to the hot corner while Dan Uggla will replace Escobar's place in the lineup playing second base and batting seventh.

What It Means:

Uggla is batting a mere .200 on the season in 115 plate appearances with a single home run and a -0.38 nERD. He's expected to face Francisco Liriano today in Pittsburgh, who has a 3.86 ERA and 2.50 xFIP at home on the season. Uggla does fare better against lefties carrying a .276 average and a .343 wOBA, however due to his inconsistencies at the plate, it may be smart to ignore him in your fantasy leagues.
