Chris Parmelee launches two jacks in Yankees' rout

New York Yankees outfielder/first baseman Chris Parmelee had three hits, including two home runs, to go with three runs and three RBI's Wednesday as the Yankees took down the Los Angeles Angels.

What It Means:

The 28-year old journeyman had a game to remember. The three hits were his first of the season. He smacked a solo homer off Jered Weaver in the sixth inning and smashed a two-run blast off reliever Greg Mahle in the seventh. Parmelee is sharing time at first base with Rob Refsnyder while Mark Teixeira is hurt. Perhaps this game will earn Parmelee some extra starts in the coming days.

In 102 plate appearances with the Baltimore Orioles last season, Parmelee posted a .295 wOBA. He owns a .316 wOBA in 1,008 career plate appearances in the bigs.
